The Queensland University of Technology ranks within the top 10 universities in Australia and the top 3% worldwide. The university was founded in 1989 and has a student body of 40,000. 

Brisbane is Australia’s third most populous city with a metropolitan area of 2.3 million inhabitants. It is one of the oldest cities in Australia and European settlements were built from 1825 onwards on the land of the Turrbal and Jagera peoples. Today the city is known for its distinct architecture as well as a tourist destination and a gateway to the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast. Often underrated, Brisbane has an edgy art scene, established nightlife and many cafés and restaurants.
