National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR)
The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research is a legal studies institution based in the village of Shamirpet within the Indian state of Telangana. Established in 1998, the school is known for imparting an inter-disciplinary legal education focused on using law as an instrument of social change.
Located one hour away from the bustling city of Hyderabad, Shamirpet is known for its scenic beauty, with fields, hilltops and lakes all within walking distance of the NALSAR campus. Laid out over 55 acres, the campus boasts spacious dining halls, residential complexes, a stadium and tennis lawns. Students at NALSAR can be found taking part in a range of activities from mooting competitions to debates, and from sports tournaments to cooking competitions, over the course of an average day.
