The city centre of Alcalá de Henares, where the university is based, is a world heritage site in a picturesque medieval setting, and the University of Alcala (Universidad de Alcalá) is its main landmark.

Just 30km away is the capital city of Spain: Madrid, a cosmopolitan hub of art, culture, and nightlife, and there are excellent transport links here from Alcalá.
