University College Dublin (UCD)

University College Dublin (UCD) is one of Europe’s leading research-intensive universities where undergraduate education, postgraduate masters and PhD training, research, innovation and community engagement form a dynamic continuum of activity. UCD is Ireland’s largest university with almost 35,000 students, nearly 8,000 of whom are international students.

Dublin is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Ireland located on its east coast. The city has a population of 1.3 million people. Founded as a Viking settlement, Dublin today is a centre for education, arts, administration, economy and industry. It’s known for its nightlife with a vibrant live music scene, it’s multitude of pubs and a wealth of museums.

As part of Universitas 21, the University College Dublin (UCD) intends to enhance close ties with the member universities in joint education and research.
