The Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) was established in 1985. Since then, UBD has advanced and expanded both its infrastructure and academic offering. Today UBD has nine academic faculties, seven research institutes ranging from Islamic Studies, Business, Arts, Science, Health Sciences, Asian Studies, Policy Studies, Education, Biodiversity and Integrated Technologies.  

UBD Global focuses on working internationally and UBD partners with more than 100 world-leading universities and institutions spanning 6 continents in more than 40 countries. Its global reputation is rising: UBD has entered the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings for the very first time with a global position in the 401 to 500 band.
