The University of Ibadan (UI) is a public research university in Ibadan, Nigeria. UI is the oldest degree awarding institution in Nigeria. The University, which started with academic programmes in Arts, Science and Medicine, now has grown to sixteen Faculties.

The African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) is a network of universities that aims to enhance the quality of research done in Africa by African researchers. The University of Glasgow enjoys a close relationship with the ARUA network.

The University of Ibadan is an Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme Partner. The Erasmus+ programme now offers mobility worldwide, all participants receive a travel and subsistence allowance.
