Iraq

Ahlan wa sahlan

Currently we have around 20 Iraqi students at the University of Glasgow, but are delighted to welcome more every year to study and gain an internationally respected degree with us.

The city of Glasgow is a thriving and contemporary city. Middle Eastern culture is very influential in Glasgow with a wealth of halal butchers, shops and 12 mosques. Furthermore, the University has its own Muslim Students Association which represents and caters for Muslim students on campus.

Additionally, we understand that student life in Glasgow goes beyond studying and that socialising with other students is an important part of living abroad. As a result we offer our Iraqi and international students a dedicated International Student Support service which provides support for students and their families.
