RUK Access Bursary
The bursary supports talented students who might not be able to take a place at University for reasons of financial hardship. It is available to new entrant full-time, undergraduate students of the University of Glasgow who are fully registered for Session 2023/24 as being domiciled in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and paying annual tuition fees of £9,250 per annum.
- Students must be UK Nationals who are normally resident in England, Wales and Northern Ireland
- Students must be paying an annual tuition fee of £9,250, and the bursary will be paid in years where tuition fees of £9,250 apply.
- Students' household income is less than £35,000 per annum
- Be undertaking your first undergraduate degree
- Nursing students are not eligible.
- If you are required to repeat any year of study, the payment will not be awarded for that year.

Value
The amount varies depending on household income and will be awarded as cash payment.
- Household Income: <25K £3,000 year 1, £2,000 years 2 & 3
- Household Income: £25,001 - £35,000 £2,000 year 1, £1,000 years 2 & 3
The bursary is paid in 10 instalments from end of October until end of July.
How to apply
There is no application for the RUK Access Bursary, the information you provide in your application for fees and/or cost-of-living support to Student Finance England/Northern Ireland/Wales will be used to assess your eligibility for the bursary.
