Postgraduate Access Scholarship

The University of Glasgow is pleased to be offering Postgraduate Access Scholarships to support Home students who could face financial difficulties in taking up their place to study at the University. Applications are particularly welcomed from applicants who met any of our widening participation criteria, or equivalent, at undergraduate level. The value of each scholarship is £4,000 and they are for students undertaking a one or two year Taught Masters programme. For two year Taught Masters programmes, the scholarship is available in year one only.

To be eligible applicants must

  • Hold an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught Masters programme in September 2023.
  • Not previously have undertaken postgraduate study.
  • Provide evidence of excellent academic achievement in their undergraduate studies (Normally 2:1 degree classification, or above).
  • Be classified as a ‘Home’ student for fee purposes.
  • Provide evidence that their circumstances are such that they may find it difficult to take up a place at the University for financial or other reasons.

How to apply

Applications have now closed. Applicants will be infomed of the outcome by the beginning of September. 

Applicants will be asked to provide information and supporting evidence on their personal and financial circumstances, such as household income, proof of means tested benefits, bursaries received and any other related information. You will be required to upload supporting documents, and you my part complete and return to it at a later stage, prior to the deadline.

 

Applicants will be informed of the outcome by the beginning of September.
