Research Opportunities

We offer research opportunities in PhD, MPhil and MSc research programmes and a professional Doctorate in Education (Research) (EdD).

The Master of Research (MRes) programmes have been designed to help you into a research career in social sciences, giving you the skills to pursue a career in research in the public, private or academic sectors. They provide ideal training for PhD research, and most are recognised by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) for 1+3 funding.

Two of our PhD students share their experiences and offer helpful advice to becoming a postgraduate researcher with the College of Social Sciences.
