Course description

To provide an understanding of the essentials of undertaking cross-border business, comprising broad overviews of world business; theories of trade and foreign direct investment and international business regulation; and, practical aspects of how to do business internationally. The material in the class thus balances macro and micro aspects of global business; conceptual and practical dimensions; and, private and public elements of globalisation.

20 x 2 hr lectures


An in-course assessment (40%) (comprising one individual assignment (20%) and group report (20%))
A 2-hour degree exam (April/May) (60%)
