Aeronautical Engineering

Why Aeronautical Engineering?

The aerospace industry is a huge and diverse one, employing engineers across multiple disciplines.  The Aeronautical Engineering degree prepares you for a career in aerospace by providing you with knowledge on aircraft flight, construction and systems.

The first three years of the degree will equip you with a comprehensive background of aeronautical engineering fields and allow you to discover your areas of interest.  The final year of the BEng degree and the final two years of the MEng degree then allow you to choose specific courses and develop your interests further.  The University of Glasgow is one of the few universities in the UK to offer courses on aeroelastics and rotorcraft flight.  You will also develop skills in management, law and economics through a number of additional courses.
