William Hunter volumes of prints

The Hunter volumes of prints are part of a collection of National Significance ‘central to the life and culture of Scotland’, which represents, in unique strength and depth, William Hunter (1718-1783), a man of science, art and letters who created one of the most important natural science and cultural collections of his day. Volumes kept in The Hunterian have been catalogued, conserved, digitised and researched with the help of a Recognition Fund grant in 2009-10. The Hunter volumes of prints kept in the Special Collection, Glasgow University Library, are now being considered, providing ongoing opportunities for students for cataloguing and research.
