Project DEMED

Souleymane Yameogo

Souleymane Yameogo is a Research Associate in Political Science at the University of Glasgow, working on the ERC-funded Democracy under Threat (DEMED) project.

His research sits at the intersection of comparative politics, political behaviour, conflict and democracy. His work examines how insecurity and political violence shape citizens’ democratic attitudes and behaviour, with a particular interest in political representation and citizen–party relationships. He uses survey data, experiments and quantitative methods, with a particular focus on African countries.

He holds a PhD in Public Policy from the KDI School of Public Policy and Management. His doctoral research examined the political and economic legacies of conflict and the consequences of situational threats for political attitudes and behaviour.
