This service is provided by the University of Glasgow. However, the Qualtrics interface is a third party vendor owned/managed service. The vendor is keen to ensure that as many people as possible are to be able to use their services and are continually looking to improve accessible features, recent updates include:

  • a redesigned survey taking experience, featuring simple layout design that is easy to use, mobile friendly, delivers accessibility for 95% of user interactions and is certified with a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) as WCAG 2.1 AA. This update greatly elevates the ability of all people to provide feedback to experience programs. Website / app feedback experience is now also WCAG 2.1 AA compliant.
  • All Qualtrics VPATs can be found on their committment to accessibile products page

The vendor of this service has no legal obligation to comply with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 as they are not a public service provider. However, their accessibility program aims to incorporate accessibility into the entire product development lifecycle to ensure that their websites and applications are accessible and usable by everyone regardless of ability.

How accessible this service is

To deliver on this commitment to accessibility, Qualtrics has worked hard to incorporate accessibility in all phases of our product-building lifecycle from user research, to design and quality assurance.

The Qualtrics survey creator interface is currently not accessible to screen reader users and may not be fully accessible to keyboard-only users or screen magnifier users.

Qualtrics utilises a few inaccessible question types that some respondents may not be able to complete with assistive technology such as screen readers. Find out more using the check survey accessibility tool on the Qualtrics website.

Qualtrics products are guided by Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), included in US Section 508, and the harmonized EN 301 549. All disciplines in our product team go through accessibility training in order to build with eye for accessibility and release products that meet accessibility standards.
