Mentimeter Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Mentimeter service which is a third party service utilised within the University of Glasgow.

Using this service

This service is provided by the University of Glasgow. However, the Mentimeter interface is a third party vendor owned/managed service. The vendor is keen to ensure that as many people as possible are to be able to use their services and are continually looking to improve accessible features, recent updates include:

  • Improved Keyboard Navigation for uploading images to a presentation.
  • A company-wide objective at the vendor to make the whole Mentimeter experience more accessible.
  • A consultant with accessibility expertise will start at Mentimeter in September 2022.

The vendor of this service has no legal obligation to comply with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 as they are not a public service provider. However, their accessibility program aims to incorporate accessibility into the entire product development lifecycle to ensure that their websites and applications are accessible and usable by everyone regardless of disability or circumstance.

How accessible this service is

At present, Mentimeter can only refer to its Mentimeter Accessibility Conformance Report, which can be found in the Mentimeter accessibility statement, in order to determine the level of accessibility for its products.

The report only refers to menti.com and does not take mentimeter.com into account. Mentimeter design and build the platform to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust enough to be used by presenters all over the world.

Technical information about this website’s accessibility

The University of Glasgow is committed to making its web based services accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
