By the end of this course, you will have a better understanding of how to navigate the challenges of change management, create a vision for change, and effectively lead others through the process.

 

Assessment

  • Critical Analysis (100%) (optional)

Learners will use the Intervention Strategy Model and other tools taught in this course to produce a critical analysis of a change case, using either a case study or a personal situation. The study will examine change management strategies and reflect on the effectiveness of the process, the results achieved, and actions that might have been taken to improve the final outcomes.

Learners who choose to submit this assessment will be awarded 10 Academic Credits towards a relevant Master’s degree at the University of Glasgow.

 

Meet The Team

This course is designed and delivered by Neil Dodson and Ramona Blanes.

Neil is a lecturer in the Adam Smith Business School at the University of Glasgow. After a long career in education, both in the UK and Australia, he has spent most of the last twenty years as a project manager. This is a discipline closely involved with altered work practices and dealing effectively with both planned and unintended changes. He has extensive experience in managing large change projects and will be sharing his experiences during the course.

Ramona is a former corporate and investment banker and a strategic change consultant who has worked in Asia and Europe for over twenty years prior to joining the University of Glasgow. She researches and lectures in the areas of change and reforms, financial technology, public value, and reverse innovation. She has also published articles in the field of tourism management. Ramona has led various change management, public sector transformation, and FinTech workshops in Southeast Asia and China. She is actively working with public and third sectors in Southeast Asia to improve the socio-economic developments and well-being of marginalised communities. Ramona is currently the Master of Global Business (MGB) Programme Leader.

Entry requirements

It is suggested that learners on this course are educated to at least Undergraduate level and have an IELTS equivalent of 6.5. Learners will not be asked to prove their academic or professional history.

How to Apply

Stage 1: Submit Notification of Interest Form 

When applications open, notify us of your interest in applying for a course. You will then receive an email with a link to the Admissions Form.

Stage 2: Submit Admissions Form 

Submit an Admissions Form using the same email address that you used in your Notification of Interest Form. If you are granted an SFC funded place on the course, you will receive an Access Account Notification email (AAN) including instructions on how to complete Academic Registration.

The submission of this form does not guarantee you a place on the course. You will hear from us regarding our decision in approximately four weeks.

Stage 3: Complete Academic Registration

Once complete, your place on the course will be secured.

Upskilling learners do not have to complete Financial Registration or manually enrol. This is processed by the Upskilling team.

Courses have a limited number of spaces. Thus, applications may close before the advertised deadline. To avoid disappointment, it is encouraged that you complete Stages 1-3 of your application at the earliest opportunity.
