What to expect from the tour
Prospective student campus tours are led by one of our current UofG Students. The tour will take you around our main Gilmorehill campus and take between 45-60 minutes.
As most of the tour takes place outdoors please dress for the weather and for walking around campus, which includes some steps and uphill areas.
Being of reasonable fitness for the tour is recommended (portions of the tour are uphill) but we will always do our utmost to make a tour as accessible as possible to those who may have reduced mobility. Please get in touch with us at campustours@glasgow.ac.uk to discuss any assistance you may need. Assistance dogs are also permitted in all areas of the University.
On the tour, our guides will be happy to take a break to let you get your breath back, take photos or ask questions.
The tour is intended for prospective students interested in studying at the University of Glasgow. Your guide will talk to you about some of the University’s History, but they will mainly focus on what our campus can offer students. They’ll give you an insight on what it’s like to be a UofG student, focussing on themes including student support services, the student unions, the library and other study spaces, clubs and societies, sport, and student life in Glasgow. All of our Student Ambassadors are very friendly and will be happy to answer questions throughout the duration of the tour.
Please note this tour is for the Gilmorehill campus only. Our School of Veterinary Medicine and outdoor sports facilities are situated at our Garscube campus:
