Journalism For Social Change Project
GO Justice recognises the power in using diverse and creative strategies to raise awareness of Social Justice issues. We offers students who are passionate about social change the opportunity to develop their writing skills and write journalistically about social change issues. The project is facilitated by the well-established and award- winning freelance journalist – Eve Livingston, who specialises in inequalities, social affairs, and politics.
Students on our 2025 Journalism for Social Change Project produced articles, all of which were selected for publication in The National.
Here is a selection our students' articles borne out of this Project:
- 'Discrimination against working class accents at our top universities needs to stop', Grace Calvin
- ''Baby Botox' is booming - but largely unregulated in Scotland. A new Bill could change that.' June Thomas
- 'How grassroots envrionmental activists are persevering against the criminalisation of protest', Olivia Murray
- 'Autism and the spectrum of misinformation', Katie Maguire
- 'Are online exams changing the student experience?', Mustafa Mamajee
