GO Justice

Castlemilk Law Centre

Castlemilk Law Centre was Scotland's first law centre, opened in 1979. It is community-controlled and provides legal advice and representation on social security, housing law, debt and employment law. They use the law to tackle poverty and disadvantage.

In 2026/27, GO Justice recruited students to complete a volunteer placement at Castlemilk Law Centre to learn from and assist their solicitors and support workers.

Students will support the development of file management systems, organise and maintain the Centre's legal resources, assist solicitors with opening & managing case files, support legal aid processing, and take notes during client meetings.
