Important information for IHW colleagues

ECRs (grades 6 and 7) and professional services staff (up to grade 5) are entitled to 10 days per year to pursue CPD opportunities. We have recently reviewed and updated our guideline for this and encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with the current version.

- Let's talk about sexual violence (workshop for students)
Raising awareness of the problems of sexual violence faced by students and providing a safe, interactive space to discuss sexual violence, bystander intervention and how to create a supportive environment.

- Let's talk about race in the workplace
Racism is not just about explicit racist language, abuse or discrimination – it can take the form of inequality and inadvertent bias ingrained in the way organisations and society is run. This race equality training will provide support to staff to consciously and proactively address racial bias within the workplace. This online training course is mandatory for all in IHW.

The BRIDGE Project is a clinical research trial exploring treatment possibilities for young people with symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), led for UofG by Mental Health and Wellbeing's Ruchika Gajwani. The group is currently inviting art work from anyone whose life is impacted by BPD for a forthcoming exhibition, which promises to be helpful and powerful.
