Is there something you'd like to share about your experience of working or studying in Institute of Health and Wellbeing (including in the realm of equality, diversity and inclusion) that colleagues might find interesting or helpful, would relate to or feel empathy with?

As part of our efforts to make IHW's monthly newsletter, HAWKEYE, balanced, inclusive and relatable, we are looking for reflective, blog-type content to add to our recently-launched "IHW voices" section, so do get in touch if you would like to contribute.

Examples of pieces written from a more personal perspective have included:

"5-minutes with..."

Teaching and learning-related

Parenting and caring

Equality, diversity and inclusion

Black Lives Matter

Work/life balance

200 words is plenty (although there is no strict word limit), the style can be informal, and we welcome short pieces from ANYONE within the IHW community, both staff - research, teaching and professional services - and students.

We hope you find this an interesting, informative and enjoyable addition to HAWKEYE, and will consider contributing, either now or in the future. If you would like to discuss your idea for a piece, please contact, or send your content direct to
