19 DecAs part of a project entitled, The role of universities in developing skills for Smart Cities, funded by the Scottish Funding Council from its contribution to the University of Glasgow’s efforts to develop activities concerned with the Global Challenges Research Fund, a group of academics from the University of Glasgow (Dr Srabani Maitra, Professor Mike Osborne, Dr Seth Agbo, Professor Muhammad Imran) visited Bishkek and New Delhi.
13 DecIn November, the Network held a series of meetings, workshops and events in Mexico City and in Chihuahua to reflect on the use of children's literature and the arts to help negotiate current challenges around contexts of migration.
22 OctOn Tuesday 16 October 2018, the British Academy and the Royal Society launched a joint report, Harnessing educational research. This report was the outcome of consultations, commissioned studies, submissions and a multi-disciplinary working party looking into how the relationship between research, policy and practice could be advanced.
02 OctThe School of Education hosted a panel discussion on Tuesday 18 September exploring how social (in)justice is being interpreted and lived under new policy frames and priorities. Approximately 100 people attended, including PhD, EdD and PGT students, academic colleagues from other universities, and professional colleagues.
