18 DecApplications for an ESRC-SDS PhD Studentship at Robert Owen Centre for Educational Change were invited internationally through jobs.ac.uk and the recruitment process completed earlier in 2017– see Blog post from March 29 for grant details. The successful candidate, Petri Simonen, started a four-year program of research in October 2017.
05 DecThis award was for initiatives which demonstrated change outside of the academy, proactively targeting underserved audiences and are innovative in their design – all things which Activate achieves; therefore it was a fantastic result to get this award which recognises the contribution it plays in working alongside communities trying to make a difference.
