Student Support Services During Festive Break

Gilmore Hill campus in the snow

Parts of the University will be closing for the festive period on Thursday 23 December 2022 to Wednesday 4 January 2023 but we are still here for you.

We know that the holidays this year may be a tough period for a lot of people – whether you are unable to go home or have just arrived and are planning on starting a course in January. Students can still access help online and in our halls of residences.

Urgent Matters

If you feel that you need help now, please contact your GP or you can call NHS 24 on 111.

If you need help with an urgent matter affecting your wellbeing, you require emergency financial aid or accommodation, contact the Gatehouse on 0141 3304282.

It’s important for your health that you know how to get the right care, in the right place. This guide will help you use NHS services to get the care you need quickly and safely.

And, if you have not already done so, download the Safezone app, in case you should need to contact us in an emergency.

We can confirm that all students who have been in touch with the university asking for and accepting accommodation support have received it. Many have also been able to secure long-term accommodation.
