Application Guidance

 

Step 1 Consider which permit type you wish to apply for (standard, occasional, blue badge) that best meets your needs.  Please refer to the information on permit types and cost.  
Step 2 Read the terms and conditions, privacy notice and scheme information before you apply.
Step 3

You will be asked to upload supporting proof documents as part of the applicaiton. 

You should have scanned copies of 2 proof documents for your home address (such as utility bill, council tax statement). 

If you apply for a Blue Badge permit you will need to provide a scanned copy of your full blue badge.  

Step 4

You will be asked to upload a document (screenshot image) of your personal commuting journey plan which can be created at Traveline Scotland 

Please note you must use Traveline Scotland as we will not be able to accept any other journey planning tools e.g google maps.

Step 5

If you are a member of staff you will be able to log onto the permit portal using your GUID, everyone else logs on without GUID. Please apply here. 

Step 6 You can amend your account details including your address and vehicle registration at any point after you are initially set up.
Step 7 You will be asked to select a permit category (staff, student, affiliate organisation etc) and permit type (standard, occasional, blue badge, motor bike etc).
Step 8

You will be asked to select which campus location you want from Gilmorehill (including St. Andrews), Garscube or Tay House. 

Students are only eligible for Garscube. 

Tay House permits are only applicable for those based at Tay House.   

 Step 9 You will be asked to provide applicant details such as staff/student number, home address and vehicle details.
 Step 10 You will be asked to answer a series of questions and to confirm if they are applicable.  You will have the opportunity to provide personal statements on business need and caring responsibilities to support your application.  
Step 11 You will have to upload your proof documents however if you do not have these available when completing your application you must save your application to be able to upload your proof documents at a later time.  You must remember that your applicaiton will not be formally submitted until your proof documents are successfully uploaded and you have agreed to the terms and conditions.  
Step 12  Once you have successfully submitted your application you will receive a confirmation email to your registered email account which confirms your applicaiton has been submitted.  
Step 13 All applications received by the close of play on Friday 26 October 2018 will be processed in line with the scheme criteria.  The outcome of the application process will be issued by email to your registered email account by the end of November 2018.  Please be aware that only one application will be accepted per applicant and if people submit more than one applicaiton only the first application will be considered.
Step 14

The new scheme will launch on 1 January 2019 and anyone bringing a vehicle onto campus must have a valid permit under the new scheme.

All old permits will no longer be valid after 31 December 2018.
