Research interests
My research focusses on developing spatiotemporal statistical and data analytics methodology to address questions motivated by real world problems (typically related to the environment, and usually proposed by external multidisciplinary academic, public sector or industrial collaborators). I am specifically interested in smoothing, functional data analysis, multivariate methods, data fusion and design of monitoring networks. Current projects include: GALLANT (specifically Data and Data Analytics for planning sustainable solutions), data fusion approaches for water quality and soil moisture applications, spatiotemporal modelling and design of groundwater monitoring networks, and river water quality modelling.
