The team at the Cancer Research UK Scotland Institute, at the University of Glasgow, studied how the immune system works and why it becomes “exhausted” by cancer. T cells, which are the immune system’s front line against disease, eventually become overcome by cancer allowing it to grow. -

A new trial will look improving outcomes for advanced prostate cancer
A new trial will look at whether selecting patients who may require more intensive treatment can improve outcomes for advanced prostate cancer. The aim is to improve survival by delaying the progression of cancer that has spread to other parts of the body (metastatic cancer).
