Public Engagement is an area of activity that is encouraged and valued by funders and the University. It provides an opportunity to enhance your skills in communicating your research to lay audiences.
There are various sources of funding available for public engagement activities. For a list of main funders, please visit the University’s Public Engagement Funding web page.
A comprehensive list of Public Engagement funding opportunities in areas of health, science & engineering, arts & humanities, and social sciences & economics can be found on the website of the National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement.
If you require support and advice on a Public Engagement initiative, please contact the University’s Public Engagement Officer Kevin O'Dell.
