Welcome to the L&T Strategy In Brief newsletter. As we close the academic year 2025-26, this edition carries particular significance: it is the first to be published with our new Learning & Teaching Strategy 2036 now in place. 

In June, we launched Glasgow 2036, our new 10‑year University strategy. Alongside it, we introduced both the Learning & Teaching Strategy and the Research Strategy 2026-2036. Together, these set out a clear, aligned direction for the decade ahead, one that reflects who we are as a community and what we aspire to achieve. The strategy launch marked an important starting point. Over the coming months and years, we will continue to bring the strategy to life across a range of channels, including this newsletter, dedicated webpages, and our workstreams, underpinned by student-staff partnerships. 

Thank you for your continued commitment and professionalism as we work to deliver the strategy and provide an excellent experience for our students. 

I would like to extend a sincere thanks to both Ayush Garg, SRC VP of Education, and Duncan Calvert, SRC President, for their insight and support across our learning and teaching initiatives this year. Continuing to collaborate closely with the SRC remains key to the effective implementation of the strategy, and I look forward to welcoming all the incoming sabbatical officers, including Ben Jones, SRC VP of Education, and Molly Corbett, SRC President, in the coming weeks.  

I look forward to working with you all as we take forward the Learning and Teaching Strategy 2026-2036, supporting our students to be curious, develop intellectually and personally, and enabling them to flourish and fulfil their potential.
