Learning & Teaching Strategy Student Internships: Reflections and outputs from Dec 2025 – May 2026

We have had the fantastic opportunity to work alongside ten Learning & Teaching Strategy Support Student Interns from December 2025 – May 2026.
During the last academic year, we have had the fantastic opportunity to work alongside ten Learning & Teaching Strategy Support Student Interns between December 2025 – May 2026.
Alessandro Peacock, Alina Chauhan, Ananya Bansal, Erin Ingles, Laurie Burke, Lauren McDougall, Maya Chillingworth, Rasha Kablan, Reuben Tank and Thidar Tun worked across key strategic learning and teaching projects, including student skills and futures, curriculum for life, and assessment and feedback.
The team have co-designed student-facing resources for student skills and futures, supported with the design of the C4L course ‘Life Lab: The Art and Science of Thriving’, led student panels, pop-ups, and engagement sessions, collaborated on webpage redesign, and presented their findings and work to Learning & Teaching Committee (Strategy). Their perspective and insights as students, alongside their enthusiasm and commitment, have been instrumental in the delivery of these projects, and we would like to extend our thanks to them and to the project teams they have worked alongside.
Rasha Kablan, fourth year Business and Management student and intern, said: "Contributing to the formation of the 'Life Lab: The Psychology and Neuroscience of Thriving' course has been a highly rewarding experience. I had the privilege of helping to build the course from the ground up. There is a profound sense of purpose in knowing that my team and I collaborated to build something lasting.”
Ananya Bansal, Communications and International Journalism Masters student, has said “As interns, we kept our student experience at the forefront of our research and co-development of the student skills and futures project. We conducted in-depth research about the most significant future skills for students and young professionals. Line by line, we made the language entirely interactive and student-friendly, and further tested our developments with a student panel, incorporating their insight and feedback.”
We would like to extend a huge thanks to the team for their insights, hard-work and dedication throughout the internship. Their work is integral to the successful delivery of the Learning & Teaching Strategy.
