Join David Martin-Jones and guest speakers in a book event discussing Columbo: Paying Attention 24/7. Exploring everything from the influences on Falk’s iconic acting style to the show’s depiction of Los Angeles, Martin-Jones illuminates what Columbo reveals about how our attention was and is channelled – by technologies like television and computers – in the late Twentieth and early Twenty-first Century. Exploring Columbo is to discuss how we perform, learn, police and locate ourselves in today’s world.

Guest speakers, Sofia Bull, Colin Gardiner and David Wright will discuss their favourite/most interesting part of the book as well as putting questions to David and having a more general round table discussion.

There will be a chance for audience questions at the end.
