Being Human Festival

Explore New Worlds in Glasgow

Glasgow is a city known for its capacity for invention and reinvention. A city of empire addressing our colonial past. A city of radicals who take pride in our ancient heritage. We explore digital futures in Scotland’s oldest public museum. New Worlds: Glasgow is a cultural festival which calls on this unique Glaswegian spirit to reimagine a new world for ourselves. Through film, art, poetry, gaming and music (not to mention Buffalo Bill!) we invite you to join us to consider how the arts can continue to let Glasgow – and our world – flourish.

New Worlds: Glasgow is presented by the College of Arts at the University of Glasgow as part of the Being Human festival, the UK’s only national festival of the humanities. It is led by the School of Advanced Study, University of London, in partnership with the Arts and Humanities Research Council and the British Academy.
