Leverhulme Trust PhD Scholarships

Following a successful grant application to the Leverhulme Trust, the University of Glasgow has been awarded funding for a cohort of PhD projects linked by the theme ‘Collections: An Enlightenment Pedagogy for the 21st Century’.

The first five projects are currently open for applications and the successful candidates will commence in the academic session 2015/16. This includes a PhD on the theme of “Privacy: past, present and future” under the supervision of Dr Angus H Ferguson (Economic & Social History) and Prof Matthew R Walters (MVLS). The project will examine the recent history of changes in how personal information is collected, stored and shared, and the implications for privacy and confidentiality in the 21st century.

The closing date for applications is Friday 3 April 2015.

If you are interested in applying, please contact Dr Angus Ferguson.
