Registration and Enrolment

Registration

To become a fully registered student of the University, you must register online:

  • You will do this every year before the start of your programme of study
  • You will use MyCampus - the University's student information system
  • You will receive full details of how to log into MyCampus by email

Enrolment

Enrolment is the process for choosing your courses and classes to build your timetable for the year. Most students need to enrol via MyCampus, using its guidance on compulsory, recommended and optional courses.

You must complete academic registration before you can begin enrolment.

Please complete as much of enrolment as you can in advance of coming to the University of Glasgow.

It is your responsibility to:

  • Choose suitable courses,
  • Ensure you enrol in the correct number of credits for the year,
  • Select courses for the whole year, not just the first semester.

MyCampus Registration - New Students

All new students are required to register online before starting at the University using MyCampus, the University's student information system.  The Registration process allows you to register and confirm your personal, academic and financial information and confirm that you agree to observe the University Oath, regulations and requirements. Once registration is complete you will have become a fully registered student at the University of Glasgow.  Full information on this process is available on our Registry Webpages 

Following registration, students are then required to enrol on classes.

MyCampus Registration - Continuing Students

All continuing students are required to register online before returning to University on Monday 18th September 2023 using MyCampus and full information on registration can be found on our Registry Webpages.  

Following registration, students are then required to enrol on classes.

You will receive an "Access Your Student Account" email with instructions on how to register as a student.  Find out when you will receive your email.  If you have not received this email by the start of Freshers' week please click here for more information.

Please note that any students who have retrievals will not be able to register until after the Exam Board at the start of September.

Arrangements for Campus Card Distribution

Your Campus Card grants you access to University facilities such as the library and sports facilities, and will entitle you to student discounts in a wide variety of shops, bars, cinemas and online.

You must upload a a passport-style photograph which will be used to generate your Campus Card.  For help, please see the Student Campus Cards pages.

Campus Cards for most students will be posted to the UK Term Address that you enter during registration, so it is important that your address is entered accurately.  Once your photo is uploaded, details are sent weekly to our ID Card Partner Company who will print and post your card.  Please note that cards will not be posted to overseas addresses.

Cards for international students will be made available at Visa Registration.

14-digit code

If you require access to the 14-digit code which is usually located on a Campus Card (e.g. to request a digit copy of a book), this can be located at: 

MyGlasgow > My Student Center > Personal Information > Reference Numbers
