Study Pathway: 1-year Degree

Our on-campus taught masters in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Advanced Statistics, or Data Analytics are taught over a 12 month period. The first two terms are spent giving you a thorough grounding in the subject, before you spend 3 months in the summer undertaking a novel research project.

Study Pathway: 2-year Degree (part-time)

Our on-campus taught master’s in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Advanced Statistics, or Data Analytics can be taken over a 24 month period, leaving time for other responsibilities as time for the consolidation of the knowledge learnt. Taught courses are taken in both years, with a novel research project being undertaken in the second year.

Study Pathway: Online Distance Learning

Our Online Distance Learning (ODL) MSc in Data Analytics offers you the opportunity to study from home at a pace that suits you. Taken over 2 or 3 years, the master’s provides a thorough grounding in methods for learning from data, both in terms of statistical modelling and computation. You will also gain practical hands-on experience in carrying out various data-driven analytical projects. Delivered via reading materials, tutor-led videos, and expert-led live sessions, this pathway is perfect to help you develop your career alongside your current job.

Study Pathway: Continuing Professional Development

Our individual CPD courses, drawn from the Online Distance Learning MSc in Data Analytics, let you develop specialist skills without committing to the full degree. Designed for part-time study, you can learn at your own pace through interactive reading materials, tutor-led videos, and expert guidance. Taught by members of the internationally renowned Statistics Group at the University of Glasgow, these courses cover a wide range of real-world data analysis applications.
