Conference and Dinner Venues

The 2013 UK MHD meeting will take place in the School of Mathematics and Statistics located on the main campus of the University of Glasgow. The conference dinner will take place in a nearby restaurant in the West End of Glasgow.

Luggage storrage

We will provide a secure space to store your luggage both on Thursday and Friday . Please, speak to the janitors for location and details.

Internet Access

Free wireless internet at the conference venue is available via eduroam. In short, all you need to do is connect to our WiFi flexible access network (SSID eduroam) and authenticate with a username provided by your home institution. You may find further instructions here.

If for any reasons you cannot obtain an eduroam account from your institution, please contact our IT support staff to set up a temporary guest account for you (maths-stats-itsupport@gla.ac.uk).

Lunches and Eating on Campus

Lunches on both days are included in the registration fee. You will receive two £6-pound lunch vouchers in your conference wallets. The vouchers can be used to order food at One A The Square restaurant [map]. The restaurant is located at the North-West corner of the Main University Building.

If this is inconvenient you are welcome to make your  own arrangements. The University of Glasgow Hospitality Services provides a range of dining options across the Main campus to staff, students and visitors. Information on catering facilities and opening hours are shown in Eating on campus.‌  Locations nearby include:

Dinner venue

We will have a conference dinner on Thursday evening at The Bothy [map] a Scottish restaurant near the Campus in the heart of Glasgow's West End.
