Professor Muhammad Imran, Dean University of Glasgow UESTC and Professor of Communication Systems, gave his "heartiest congratulations" to the large number of GC-UESTC colleagues who moved up at the last round of promotions.

- Dr Yao Sun - promoted to G8 Lecturer
- Dr Lina Mohjazi - promoted to G8 Lecturer
He further observed that "our success rate was very close to 100% and this reflects the rigour of shortlisting the candidates we were fully confident could make it in this round" and gave special thanks to Professor João Ponciano. This demonstrates the clear opportunities for progression and development and the stellar work of our academic staff.
