Adam Smith Skills Award

As an Adam Smith Business School student, you can enrol in the Adam Smith Skills Award to develop your skills outside of your degree programme. The Award can help you plan your time at the Business School, while gaining valuable skills and experience.

The Award acknowledges your achievements and will represent all your skills as an enlightened, engaged and entrepreneurial graduate.

Completing extra-curricular activities and events will provide you with skills and knowledge to enhance your University experience and help plan your future career. By reflecting on your participation in the Award, you will be able to showcase your achievements to employers.

The three categories of the Award will provide you with the skills and knowledge to enhance your student experience and development: 

  • My Community
  • My Development
  • My Future

Completing the Award

To achieve the basic level of the Award, you must complete three activities, choosing one from each category to achieve the award.

After basic level, you can further develop your skills by completing another three activities for Adam Smith Skills Award Plus, then three more for Adam Smith Skills Award Excellence. For these awards you can select any combination of activities, giving you the flexibility to pursue your own interests.
