Co-hosting the "Public service remunicipalisation: public policies and tools to tackle the world's crises" workshop

The research team travelled to the Public Services International (PSI) Head Office in Ferney-Voltaire, France to co-host (with PSI) a workshop for representatives of international organisations, PSI affiliate union representatives, allied civil society organisation representatives, as well as academics and activists interested in learning more about remunicipalisation and how it can help tackle inequalities and address the SDGs on 4 November 2022.

The GLOBALMUN project team hosted a European Research Council Symposium titled "Mapping Global Remunicipalisation" at the University of Glasgow on Friday, 29 April 2022. The full day of talks and panels included a keynote by David Hall (University of Greenwich), and contributions from our project partners Lavinia Steinfort (Transnational Institute) and Daria Cibrario (Public Services International). We were also joined by Francis Stuart (Scottish Trades Union Congress).

Agreement signed between GLOBALMUN and the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO)

On July 12, the Latin American Council of Social Sciences and the GLOBALMUN research team at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, signed an inter-institutional cooperation agreement with the aim to promote social research on defending and reclaiming ‘the public’, or public ownership, in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Public Futures: Global Database and Report Launch Event
