Founded 1977

Curling is a sport involving a great deal of strategy and teamwork, and has been played across Scotland since the early 16th century. We've had great recent success for Scotland at both Olympic and World levels. It's so unique and we would encourage everyone to come along and give the sport a go!

Teams

We currently have two primary teams competing in the Scottish Student Curling League which is played at Perth Ice Rink. For our two primary teams we will generally aim to field our strongest and most experienced players.

Those newer to the sport can still participate through mixed teams we have set up with other universities to encourage further involvement!

We also participate in local leagues and encourage as many of our members to participate in these where possible!

Social Events

We offer a range of social events throughout the year! Our sponsor bar is The Social in the city centre, where we have regular meet-ups on a weekly basis after our training sessions. We also offer a range of other events from game nights and movie nights to sub crawls and ceilidhs. We aim to cater to everyone!

Training

We regularly train every Wednesday afternoon at Hamilton Ice Rink – this session is for players of all skill levels. We encourage all members to come along and participate actively in sessions and help each other to improve together!

For full details see the Club Sport Training Timetable.

Fitness Programmes

We like to ensure that you get the most out of your membership with our club which is why we also offer instructed gym sessions to all of our members. We have an externally hired personal trainer that hosts our Studio 1 (Stevenson Building) gym sessions every Saturday at 9am.

We also have Studio 1 gym sessions every Thursday afternoon 2pm-4pm. Thursday sessions are not hosted by a PT, but we have free use of the facilities on offer.

Whether you are new to the gym or have been an avid gym-goer for some time, these sessions cater to everyone and provide a great chance to learn from the best.

Be part of a community

No matter your experience, we offer a great community for you to get involved with. With regular socials, gym sessions and training sessions on offer there is plenty for you to get involved with no matter your fitness level, ability or experience.

Come along and get involved! Any questions feel free to get in touch with our committee members or reach out to us via social media.
