Knowledge Exchange funding opportunities
There are a number of schemes available to help fund your Knowledge Exchange activities:
University of Glasgow Funding
Glasgow Knowledge Exchange Fund - the University's knowledge exchange investment fund supports activities that strengthen relationships with strategic external partners, maximise the potential for research impact in any sector, and drive commercialisation prospects from University research.
Impact Acceleration Accounts (IAA) - EPSRC, ESRC and other RC-funded IAAs are administered by the University, and enable us to more effectively influence and shape the pathways from research to impact, beyond traditional academic research outcomes.

Schemes administered by the UK Research Councils.
Government Funding
Innovation Vouchers: Scottish universities can now apply for up to £15k. This funding can be used to offset the costs for a wide range of activities to support SMEs in the development of new products and processes, new services, improving production processes, and experimental testing and measuring.
Innovate UK: Innovate UK (formerly The Technology Strategy Board) promotes innovation and exists to help connect and catalyse. Much of Innovate's work is in spreading knowledge, understanding policy, spotting opportunities and bringing people together to solve problems or make new advances. They also invest in and manage a range of delivery mechanisms and programmes to drive technology-enabled innovation. For more information, contact Dr Gordon Meiklejohn.
Scottish Enterprise High Growth Spin-out Program: helps researchers to take their ideas and inventions from the lab to the global marketplace by awarding funding and support. If you are interested, please contact Mel Anderson.
SMART:Scotland: This scheme provides financial assistance to SMEs to help support projects that represent a significant technological advance for the UK sector or industry concerned, which can include working with the HEI sector. Funding includes support for Feasibility Studies, which run from 6 to 18 months with a maximum grant of £70k, and Research and Development Projects, which run from 6 to 36 months with a maximum grant of £600k.
