UofG colleagues invited to exclusive Mackintosh House event at the Hunterian Art Gallery

Evening Event at The Hunterian
Thursday 10 March
5.30pm – 7.30pm

Hunterian Art Gallery

All University staff are invited to the Hunterian Art Gallery to enjoy our new exhibitions and the Mackintosh House.

The Hunterian houses one of the most important collections of the work of Scottish architect, designer and artist, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, the highlight of this collection being the Mackintosh House, a meticulous reassemblage of the principal interiors from the Mackintoshes’ Glasgow home. This evening event is an exciting opportunity for colleagues and their families to visit the Mackintosh House after hours.

The layout of the Hunterian Art Gallery is currently undergoing some changes meaning that some of the spaces in the Gallery are closed, but we still have a fantastic public offer in our temporary exhibitions including Celebrating Joan Eardley and Flesh Arranges Itself Differently.

Staff will have the opportunity to enjoy our collections and exhibitions and spend some social time with colleagues. There will be drinks, nibbles, live music and craft activities available for children.

You can book tickets on Eventbrite, admission is free and all staff and their families are welcome.

Bookings are limited to two tickets per person. You must use your University of Glasgow email address when booking through Eventbrite.

If you would like more than two tickets please email rachel.hughes@glasgow.ac.uk. Places are limited so please confirm your attendance as soon as possible.

This event is funded by the Ferguson Bequest. Professor Thomas Ferguson (1900-1977), Henry Mechan Chair of Public Health (1944-64), bequeathed his estate to the University, with the instruction that the money should be used to foster the social side of University life.
