Registration and enrolment for the new academic year is now well underway, with 14,293 students fully registered by 23 August.

David Bennion, Director of Registry, said: “We are delighted to see so many students fully registered at this stage, our particular thanks to everyone across the University who has worked so hard to make the process smooth and straightforward for our students.”

This year’s registering students have been the first to benefit from the new UofG Helpdesk platform featuring a suite of Knowledge Articles guiding students through the registration and enrolment process, and a new Service Catalogue for requesting help and support. 80% of all registration and enrolment-related incidents raised in the period from 5 August to 23 August have been resolved or closed, 2,377 in total.

Stewart Powles, Student Services Enquiry Team Leader, said: “The new UofG Helpdesk platform has been immensely helpful in allowing our teams to deal with enquiries effectively and efficiently, shortening the waiting times for students as well as simplifying the process of requesting help.”

In addition to the year-round support offered to students by the Student Service Enquiry Team, the Registration & Enrolment Support Team are now also in action, and will be delivering face-to-face support for students in the McMillan Reading Room from Monday 2 – Friday 27 September.
