Your CAS
This section offers some general information about your CAS and how to contact Admissions with any queries you may have about your CAS, offer of studies or latest course start date / arrival date.
What is a CAS?
What is a CAS?
The Confirmation of Acceptance of Studies (CAS) is an online document which is issued by the University via the UKVI. It states some of your details as well as the details of your offer of study and course.
You will need a valid CAS to apply for a Student visa either inside or outside the UK and will copy the information from the CAS onto your Student visa application form.
Check your CAS details
Check the details on your CAS as soon as you receive this. If any details need to be amended you will need to contact Admissions to request this. Ensure your CAS is correct before you submit your Student visa application form online.
If you have any CAS related queries or requests for updates please contact Admissions at External Relations via the UoG Helpdesk:

When and how to receive your CAS
If you are starting a new course at University of Glasgow
You should expect to receive your CAS from Admissions by e-mail, once you have accepted your unconditional offer and uploaded all documents relating to meeting the entry requirements for your course.
The CAS will usually be issued by Admissions via e-mail within the 3 months before your course start date.
If you need to request a CAS to extend your Student visa to continue your current course at UoG
Ask for a CAS Request Form from the contacts below, depending on the College for your course at UoG, around 3 months before your visa expires. This allows time for the College to liaise with Admissions about your CAS request.
The CAS will be issued by Admissions via e-mail up to a maximum of 3 months before your visa expiry date:

Tuition and UoG Accommodation fee payments
Fee payments stated on your CAS:
When you pay tuition fees or accommodation fees to the university, the amount of these fees that you have paid will be stated on your CAS.
UKVI say you must provide evidence of the amount of tuition fees you have paid to University of Glasgow at the time you apply for the Student visa as part of demonstrating that you meet the maintenance requirements. The UKVI caseworker will check your CAS and the other financial documents you have prepared to make sure that between these documents you have shown you have the money needed to meet the maintenance requirements.
Tuition fee payments made after the CAS has been issued:
Tuition fees paid after the CAS has been issued will not be shown on, or added to, your CAS. You will need to prepare tuition fees receipts from University of Glasgow as additional evidence of the amount of tuition fees you have paid at the time if this is more than your CAS states. See the SSET guide in the link above for "How to Print Payment Receipts".
Accommodation fee payments made after the CAS has been issued:
It is not possible to get receipts or evidence of accommodation fees paid to University of Glasgow after the date the CAS has been issued.
