FEBRUARY EDITION

A belated happy new year from the University of Glasgow to all of our partners and friends!

As we begin 2022, we have been reflecting on the successes of what was a challenging year for the world, whilst continuing to focus on the importance of our collective endeavours with partners.

I'm delighted that we are continuing to build on our relationship with the University of Sydney by celebrating the renewal of the University of Glasgow - University of Sydney Partnership Cooperation Agreement, and the new partnership between our College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences and the University of Sydney’s Charles Perkins Centre.

We're also thrilled to be co-hosting the next session of our European Research-Intensive Universities network, The Guild’s, virtual seminar series. In the session entitled Designing Teaching and Study Spaces to Support Educational Change, we will share our approach to research-led education and the relationship with material and online learning spaces, shining a spotlight on our James McCune Smith Learning Hub, which opened its doors in April 2021. It has since become a cornerstone of our Gilmorehill Campus, welcoming students, staff and our wider community.

We look forward to working closely with you over the coming year, and to celebrating future successes.

Best wishes,
Rachel Sandison
Deputy Vice-Chancellor (External Engagement)
