The European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS)
The European Centre for Advanced Studies (ECAS) was founded by the University of Glasgow (Scotland) and the Leuphana University of Luneburg in Lower Saxony.
It has grown to be the central connection hub for universities and other higher education institutions from Lower Saxony and Scotland. As a result of this, it has established a network of 21 Lower Saxonian and 19 Scottish institutions that aim to continue cooperating and intellectually build bridges across the North Sea.
