Economic and Social Research Council Doctoral Studentships

The University of Glasgow is a partner university of the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science (SGSSS).

The SGSSS is the UK's largest facilitator of funding, training and support for doctoral students in social science. By combining the expertise of sixteen partner universities across Scotland, the school facilitates world-class PhD research. The school is funded jointly by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Scottish Funding Council (SFC).

The SGSSS awards a number of ESRC-funded studentships across Scotland annually through the student-led 'Open' competition.

The University welcomes applications for ESRC 1+3 and +3 doctoral studentships.
