Festive Toy Appeal

Help us brighten a local child’s Christmas!

In Govan, around 44% of children live in poverty, with many families struggling to cover even the essentials, let alone a special gift for Christmas.

That is why, after the wonderful success of last year’s appeal - which saw over 400 gifts donated - we’re excited to support the 2025 Season of Giving: Sunny Govan Festive Toy Appeal.

Once again with a simple mission: to make sure every child in our community can wake up to the excitement of unwrapping a gift and experience the happiness that this season is meant to bring. 

Donations are accepted until Wednesday 17th December 2025.

Gift ideas

All gifts must be new.

If you’d like to donate, here are some age-specific gift suggestions:

Ages 0-3: Soft toys, bath toys, nursery storybooks

Ages 3-5: Books, toy cars, dolls, colouring books

Ages 5-9: Dolls, action figures, colouring sets

Ages 9-12: Games, sports equipment, scarves

Ages 12-16: Books, toiletries, hats, gloves

You can donate the presents wrapped but please label them with the intended age group and whether they are for a boy, girl or suitable for any chid. This helps us ensure every gift reaches the right child.
