Prison Partnerships Lab
The Prison Partnership lab seeks to develop and sustain a robust community of practice to deliver meaningful educational opportunities to learners across the Scottish prison system. We work with staff from across UofG and relevant stakeholders including Scottish prisons, learners in prisons, community organisations, government agencies, and others in the third sector providing education within the system. Our aim is to develop tools and strategies to grapple with the myriad and multifaceted challenges facing effective prison pedagogy including developing appropriate courses and training; building and maintaining relationships; navigating bureaucracy; measuring outcomes; and funding and sustainability; and pedagogical best practices.
