Number of Scholarships: 1 per annum, value £20,000 to cover fees at Home rate (currently £4596) and stipend.

Further Information

The MRes in the field of Creativity, Inclusivity and the Virtual is a one-year full-time research programme based in the College of Arts, exploring the potential of Extended Reality to enhance social inclusion within the creative, cultural and heritage economies. The project may be based in Music, Film and TV Studies, Philosophy (Centre for the Study of Perceptual Experience), or Information Studies. There is also the possibility of co-supervision with Computing Science, or with other disciplinary areas across the University, depending on the nature of the project proposed. The programme offers the potential for further study at doctoral level.

The MRes programme combines a major research project with taught component of either 60 or 80 SCQF credits (30-40 ECTS). Taught courses are available across the four disciplinary areas and options include:

Scholarship funding covering fees and a stipend is provided by Baillie Gifford and will be awarded on a competitive basis.

We therefore invite applications, including proposals of up to 1000 words, for suitable research projects to be based in one of the above areas.
